Dark Rodeo Is Coming to Footsies This Fourth of July and It's Gonna Be a Full-On Goth Cowboy Fundraiser
This Fourth of July, forget the fireworks and saddle up for Dark Rodeo at Footsies. The team behind Dark Disco is throwing a gothic Western dance party to raise money for CHIRLA, one of LA’s leading immigrant rights organizations. It’s part costume party, part sweaty disco, and all for a good cause.
The party kicks off at 10PM with DJ LoveKat, Nuves, and Milagro on deck, spinning dark disco, synth, punk, and whatever else keeps the floor moving. Expect a fogged-out room packed with bodies, tacos sizzling out front, and a sea of wild, witchy Western fits. Fringe, leather, mesh, lace, bolo ties, boots, and chaps are all fair game. The energy lands somewhere between haunted saloon and warehouse rave. Show up in jeans and a tee if you want — but don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Ahead of the party, there’s also a limited-edition T-shirt drop featuring original art by Finx Fox and printed by Jimmy Saldivar. The design captures the spirit of the night, and the best part is that 100% of the sales go directly to CHIRLA. Only 35 shirts are available for now, and you can either pick one up at the party or have it shipped to you. If they sell out fast, another round might be on the way.
Finx Fox will also be selling her art at the event, so come meet her, grab some prints, and support a good cause while you’re at it. This entire thing is community-built and donation-powered, with every detail pointing back to mutual aid and joy as resistance.
Follow The Dark Disco on Instagram for updates and to order your shirt before the drop disappears.
This city was built by immigrants. Its culture, its food, its music, its spirit — none of it exists without immigrant communities. Dark Rodeo is a celebration of that legacy and a show of solidarity with the people who keep Los Angeles alive.
