DSA LA and Little Secret LA Band Together Against ICE Raids with Comedy Benefit Show
On Monday, July 14, The Regent Theater in Los Angeles will host the ICE OUT OF LA Benefit Show, a fundraiser bringing together an incredible lineup of comedians and performers to support families impacted by recent ICE raids in the city. This event offers the community a chance to stand against a violent wave of deportations that are tearing families apart.
Hosted by Kat Toledo, the show features John Early (Search Party, Wet Hot American Summer), Reggie Watts (The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Bang! Bang), Kate Berlant (A League of Their Own, Don’t Worry Darling), Ron Funches (Big Mouth), Vanessa Gonzalez (Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents), and several surprise special guests.
Doors open at 7PM, with the show starting at 8PM. The event encourages attendees to use public transit or rideshare to reduce environmental impact and avoid parking hassles.
The night’s entertainment serves a serious purpose. All proceeds will benefit CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights), which provides critical legal defense and emergency services to families devastated by ICE raids in Los Angeles. Donations will support rapid response teams, legal assistance, and community support for those detained or at risk of deportation.
The recent ICE raids have left many families separated and lives disrupted. This event offers a direct way to fight back. Attending the show or contributing financially will make a real difference in helping families stay together and navigate the complex legal challenges they face.
Tickets come in tiered pricing to accommodate different income levels. Each ticket grants general admission, but if you can give more, organizers encourage doing so to increase support for the cause.
Presented by DSA Los Angeles and Little Secret LA, the ICE OUT OF LA Benefit Show is a powerful reminder that community action can push back against injustice. Set the date for July 14, bring friends, and help raise funds for a more humane and just Los Angeles.
